Set up state of the art pigment dispersion manufacturing plant at Sarigam near Vapi, Gujarat.
Our pigment manufacturing facility is at Vapi—about 180 kilometers north of Mumbai. Spread across 45000 sq. meters, the facility was set up in 1981 and is ISO-9001-2015, ISO-14001-2015 and OHSAS-18001-2007 certified.
About 350 of our highly skilled and dedicated people run the show at the factory, handling functions like production, maintenance, quality control, materials management, safety/security, administration, etc. The facilities include four major production units, namely, Azo Pigment Plant, Violet-23 Plant, Quinacridone Plant that are supported by a full-fledged Pilot Plant and an Effluent Treatment Plant. In 2020, we have also set up state-of-the-art pigment dispersion manufacturing plant at Sarigam near Vapi, Gujarat. Proven manufacturing concepts like 5S, TQM, Kaizen, TPM, etc. are put into place for continual improvement of the factory and to ensure maximum productivity.
R&D & Technical Capabilities
Pidilite intends to bring out the full potential of pigments. Our team of highly qualified scientists, researchers, and technicians are equipped with sophisticated instruments and gadgets at our Research and Development laboratory to develop new products and improve the existing ones by conducting experiments on:
– Synthesis and modifications of pigments
– Surface treatments of pigments to enhance the pigment properties
– Synthesis of different types of synergist and pigment solid solutions
– Chemical Reactions : Ethylation, Nitration, Reduction, Diazotization, Condensation, Cyclization, etc.
– Flexibility and competence to develop, control, and adjust the formulation to required specification
